ISLAMABAD: Taliban liaison committee member Prof. Ibrahim said that exchange of prisoners and many other issues were discussed during meeting with Taliban. He said that the confidence building process has started and soon the committee would visit North Waziristan again.
Talking to media persons in a telephonic conversation in Islamabad, Prof. Ibrahim said that no demands were put forward from Taliban in the meeting with Government Committee. Question for Authorization was being raised by both committees. He said that talks were focused to restore peace and confidence building.
“Positive progress is going on in negotiations. Insha Allah next meeting is expected soon”, Professor Ibrahim said. He added that both parties were motivated towards seeking peace and appreciated Prime Minister’s efforts for taking positive steps for peace process.
