Taliban are in contact, meeting expected soon: Prof. Ibrahim

ISLAMABAD: Member for Taliban negotiating Committee Professor Ibrahim said that he is in continuous contact with Taiban and the meeting was expected in a day or two.  It was being heard that the name was being kept confidential after consultations by stakeholders.
Talking to AbbTakk News, here in Islamabad, Professor Ibrahim said that measures are being taken for talks with TTP, hence peace is the fundamental point for talks, further including prisoners everything will be discussed to bring peace to the country. He said that four members from State Committee will participate in the meeting with TTP Committee.
Professor Ibrahim further added that the meeting place has not been decided from their side, media should avoid defining any name by itself, after meeting location would be revealed to the media. He said that State Committee would demand the release of Professor Ajmal and sons of Salman Taseer and Yousuf Raza Gillani, while Taliban Committee would talk about the release of their Taliban prisoners.

I SLAMABAD: Three female students of International Islamic University Islamabad made it to the television headlines on Saturday as a court bailiff recovered them from the university hostel where they were allegedly confined by the administration. Cabinet meeting: Govt’s final decision about Taliban likely today

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet meet got underway in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to discuss key national issues, including the process of dialogue with Taliban and options of military action against them, media reported. According to sources, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar will table the five-year National Security Policy before the cabinet for approval. He would brief the cabinet about the overall law and order situation in the country as well as measures being taken to combat militancy. Sources said that important decisions regarding dialogue with Taliban and action against militants in North Waziristan are also likely to be made during today’s session. They added that the prime minister would take cabinet members in confidence about negotiations with the Taliban and the government future course of strategy.
