THARPARKAR: Despite of all claims by administration in Tharparkar, drought victims were still deprived of aid facilities.
Death toll continued to rise without stopping in Thar desert. Six more children died of starvation in Civil Hospital Mithi, last night, while lack of expert medical officers and doctors is another serious issue which the city was facing. Despite of emergency imposed in the district, no doctor couldn’t be appointed which raises several questions against the performance of Government.
Despite of the announcement by Chief Minister, 186 seats for doctors are still lying vacant and no doctor couldn’t be appointed till then. Secretary Health issued transfer orders of 25 doctors from Karachi to different hospitals of Mithi, 14 doctors didn’t join their duties until today.
A number of old patients being taken to hospital has decreased substantially but a rapid increase in the number of children suffering from various diseases due to malnutrition is an alarming sign for administration and Government. Due to maximum number of these children suffered from starvation, the number of beds in hospitals remained insufficient, which resulted treatment of 2 patients on 1 bed.
