Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the decision of victory notification of ASWJ Chief Moulana Ahmed Ludhianvi from NA-89 Jhang today.
Sheikh Waqas Akram has challenged the Election Tribunal and ECP decision in Supreme Court, which was heard by 3 judges bench, headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.
Molana Ahmed Ludhianvi was declared winner from Jhang after Election Tribunal disqualified Sheikh Waqas Akram, who was elected from Jhang (NA-89).
Tribunal had directed the Election Commission of Punjab to notify the victory of runner-up candidate, Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi.
The court, suspending the victory notification of Molana Ahmed Ludhianvi from NA-89 Jhang, ordered Election Tribunal to give verdict in Sheikh Akram’s appeal in 3 months.
