ISLAMABAD - The current government Prime Minister Imran Khan has finalized the name of Abdul Qayyum Niazi as the next Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry announced that Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated Abdul Qayyum Niazi as the next Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking it on Twitter, the PTI leader said that Prime Minister Imran had taken this decision after extensive consultation and review of all suggestions. The caption reads, "Mr. Qayyum Niazi is a dynamic and genuine political activist whose heart beats with the activists."

Earlier, the Prime Minister Imran Khan had interviewed seven candidates for the post of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that the Prime Minister asked him various questions, his future strategy and views on environment, tourism, and national and international issues.
It was also revealed that Imran Khan was outraged at the fact that he was being approached by various groups who were pressuring him to select specific candidates.
